EXTREMA
EXTREMA takes the audience on a journey through the extremes of amplitude and sonic intensity. Maja Bosnic’s ((mno.go)) turns acoustic vibrations into a physical experience - listening to the piece with ear protection reveals misty clouds of beautifully deformed and damaged sounds. Peter Ablinger’s the absolute absolute unleashes untamable feedback loops, pure electricity and acoustic electro-shocks, Hikari Kiyama’s Kabuki pushes performers to their limits in a breathtaking display of maximum power. Pierre Jodlowski’s numbers confronts us with a heavy technological overload, exploring the digital era’s obsession with numbers. And finally, legendary music thrasher and noise activist Dror Feiler’s How Long Is Now offers the most intense experience of presence through sound.
