Helene Kenyeri

 

Helene Kenyeri is an oboe and cor anglais player, who has been awarded several prizes from renowned juries like the Wiener Symphoniker, and the Dr. Karl-Böhm-Stipendium.
She has started her academic education in 1998 at the Institut Oberschützen with Prof. Gerhard Turetschek. Parallel to the performance studies, she enrolled at the Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität in the class of Harald Hörth in 2001 and the Universität Wien for musical education studies. Helene graduated from both majors with distinction. In order to further her musicianship, Helene continued with private lessons with Paul Kaiser and attends the master program PPCM (Practice and Performance in Contemporary Music) under the direction of the Klangforum Wien.

After completing her first studies, Helene played oboe and cor anglais with some of Austria’s supreme orchestras like the Wiener Philharmoniker, the Wiener Symphoniker, the orchestras of the Vienna State Opera and the Volksoper, and the Tonkünstler Orchester. Aside her current studies, she is performing as a freelancer at the Black Page Orchestra, the Ensemble Reconsil, the Wiener Concertverein, the Wiener Volksoper and the Wiener Symphoniker.

Since 2012, Helene is passing on her musicianship, proficiencies and enthusiasm to students of various ages at the Joseph Haydn Konservatorium Eisenstadt.
