PULP SCIENCE

Pulp Science brings together a selection of daring, experimental works that explore the intersections of sound, technology, and ensemble practice. In Ghost of Dystopia, the conductor appears as a mad scientist trapped in a machine of acoustic sensors, which translate every movement into harsh, mechanical, noisy sounds. Halucinatio blends flute, drums, and electronics to create psychoacoustic effects—inaudible frequency emissions originating from the inner ear itself. As a postmodern infotainment mash-up, the Encyclopedia of Pitch and Deviation is a combining alternative pitch systems with chakra frequencies, high-performance blenders, washing machines, Schumann resonances and the mosquito alarm. Journal reflects on the role of the subject within the digital media landscape, while Case Black serves as an antifascist statement and homage to the aesthetics of diversity.
